Die
fünfköpfige Band aus Bristol/UK sollte in diesem Jahr auf keiner
Artists-To-Watch Liste fehlen! Allein bei Soundcloud erreichte ihre Single
„Oceans “ über 4 Millionen Plays. Die darauffolgende
Single „A Rush Of Blood“ wurde von Radiomoderator Zane Lowe
als „Hottest Record“ bei BBC Radio 1 gehandelt. Seither steigerte
sich die Popularität von COASTS stetig. Dieses Jahr ist die Band
bereits für renommierte Festivals wie Coachella und Reading &
Leeds bestätigt.
In den vergangenen Jahren tourten sie non-stop durch UK und begeisterten
die zunehmende Fangemeinde im ganzen Land. Im April 2015 spielen sie eine
ausgedehnte US-Tournee gefolgt von weiteren Konzerten in Europa. Ende
Mai werden COASTS auch für zwei Shows in Hamburg und Berlin nach
Deutschland kommen.

While rock'n'roll
music is slowly diminishing from today's hit charts, four young boys from
the heart of Copenhagen are taking up the fight. The name is Paper Tigers
– the genre is... well, you guessed right and the goal is clear:
To give old school rock music the renaissance many of us have been waiting
for.
The
band was formed in spring 2009 by the brothers Linus (lead vocal &
guitar) and Andreas Valdemar (bass), Max Hoffmeyer (keys) and Nicklas
Løvén (drums) and has ever since been growing in popularity.
Only a few months after their first performance they had already won several
contests, and in 2011 they were awarded ”Best Rock act” at
the Danish Underground Music Awards. This paved the way for a few gigs
as supporting act for Blue Van. In the early 2012 Paper Tigers released
their first EP “If We May?”, which despite getting positive
reviews never made it to airplay on any of the nationwide radio stations.
Recently
they have made a name of themselves by supporting the famous Norwegian
band “Big Bang” on their tour around Denmark. Doing so led
Paper Tigers to stage performances at recognized venues such as Loppen
(Copenhagen), Voxhall (Århus), Posten (Odense) and Fermaten (Henning).
As we enter 2013 Paper Tigers are in the studio again putting the finishing
touches to what might very well be the next big thing.
If
you are looking for rock music inspired by the 60s and 70s but with a
modern brit pop approach, your prayers have been answered. Dressed in
blazers and tight jeans, armed with old school guitar licks and surrounded
by tube amps the four of them are on a mission to captivate the audience
from the very get-go, and with a flawless success rate you could be their
next target.
