Obits aus Brooklyn, New York sind eine Post-Punk/Punkrockband, bestehend aus Rick Froberg, Sohrab Habibion, Greg Simpson, und Scott Gursky. Froberg spielte vorher u.a. in den wegweisenden Bands Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu und Pitchfork, Habibion war Frontmann der Band Edsel (u.a. Jade Tree Records). Das erste Konzert spielten sie im Januar 2008, wovon es eine Bootleg-Aufnahme gibt.

Bass Drum of Death are a garage rock band signed to Fat Possum Records from Oxford, MS. The band was formed by John Barrett, who performed solo with a bass drum and guitar until 2008, when Colin Sneed began playing drums. Their debut LP, GB City, was released on April 12, 2011[1]. The vinyl was also distributed by Inflated Records. They performed live on Fuel TV with MellowHype, of OFWGKTA playing the song 64. The group also has released a single entitled High School Roaches on Baby Don't Records in 2010. Bass Drum of Death tours the U.S extensively, and is touring Europe and the UK at the end of 2011, and Australia in 2012.
